Hermione Granger:

Muggle born, but was accepted into Hogwarts and is on her way to becoming one of the finist witches at the school. She has set up associatation with Ron Weasley and the famous Harry Potter. She is the brain force of the team, she is always the one who can come up with a spell when the group is in a tight spot.

She is a favored among the professors in the school, and gets a lot of points for her house, but these are mostly taken away by Harry when they are in potions class with Professor Snape, which to our knowledge besides Umbridge is one of the few that doesn't take favors to Hermione and her brains.

Hermione is played by Emma Watson, who by the way does an excellent job playing our beloved young witch!
