Over all Description: Andromeda has shoulder length long dark brown hair. The bottom curls around her shoulder which is why she will usually leave it down. However, there is always the rare occasion where she will pull it into a short ponytail. Eyes very different from her two younger sister are a warm compassionate brown, many say she received from her mother.

Another difference between herself and her younger sisters is her height, while she stands at 5’6 both sisters are at least an inch taller. She loves the muggle society, therefore she sometimes is found dressed in comfortable jeans and regular t-shirts. While she lives in the magical community she will wear robes which aren’t as high fashioned as most of the Black family wear, but she makes do.

She has several bruises on different parts of her body, credited in part to fights with Death Eaters. Though some also came from her not so loving family in her younger Hogwarts years. Her nails are always trimmed not able to allow them to get into her way she files them rather than chewing nervously on them.

Personality: Coming from a pureblood family, most would expect Andromeda to be pure blood driven, but it is the opposite with her. She respects everything about the muggle society, which caused her to be disowned by her family. She is a sincere person and speaks her mind, telling exactly how and what she feels. Family, it means so many different things to Andromeda, there is her birth family, the Blacks, then there is her true family, that which includes Ted Tonks and his muggle relatives.

Andromeda is a loyal friend, she will do anything to protect those that she loves. If there is a problem she tries to make herself as available as possible, noting that she can’t solve every issue. She isn’t dependent on money, it has never been a real issue to her, she would rather be broke and truly in love than to belong to one of the wealthiest families in the Wizarding world. When she is around her younger sisters it tends to bring out the worst in her, temper flares and sometimes she says things she regrets at a later time.

Happiness, it is something she craves. Laughter and jokes make her days go better which explains her closeness to her cousin Sirius. She has been known herself to crack a few off the wall jokes as to speak. When it comes to her husband and daughter, Andromeda is protective, going at nothing to keep both safe from the dangerous of the world.

History: Andromeda came along on a dark, cold December night. Head full of dark curls she was perfection. The first daughter born to Arsen and Cassiopeia Black, she was spoiled in the beginning. The Blacks were wealthy therefore they spent a great deal of money on their daughter, though attention was something she had to demand. It was lonely those first two years without any brothers or sisters. Her parents fought, not bothering to keep their voice down, what would a toddler know right? Oh so very wrong, Andromeda knew then she didn’t want to hear the screaming, the crash, or the harsh slap so often dealt from her father to her mother.

When Andromeda turned two she had some happy news to look forward to, her mother was pregnant and the baby would be coming soon. She would often crawl up and lay her head on her mother’s stomach laughing when she heard a gurgle from inside, certain it was the baby talking to her. Then on February 14, the new baby arrived, more importantly babies, her younger sisters, Narcissa then Bellatrix.

As she was the oldest sister she took her responsibilities to heart, looking out for them, keeping them away from their parents constant fights. She watched every move they made, Narcissa’s blond hair so evident in difference from her own, then Bella’s jet black, it was odd two who shared the same birthday were so different in looks.

The years past, the three growing closer and closer, but it would end. Her first year to begin Hogwarts she was sorted in Ravenclaw, the first slap to the Black name, or so she was continuously told. It was there she found her first interest in Muggles. They were fascinating, the things they talked about, Andromeda craved knowledge so she sucked as much as possible in. Her family became distant, she no longer had anything in common with her two younger sisters, more so when they entered Hogwarts and was sorted into Slytherin. It was then their job to make Andromeda’s life miserable.

Home life grew worse, Andromeda was constantly yelled out, a few times her father’s hand would find her cheek a rather good target. It was during her fourth year that she realized she wanted nothing to do with those who called themselves her family. True, her mother had given her life, but Andromeda would never call the woman a true mother. She would try to find ways to stay away, and after awhile it seemed her family preferred that as well.

She would often spend summers either with Lily Evans a muggle born witch, or Alice Monroe a pureblood. After her separation from her family, all except her cousin Sirius, she began to date Theodore Tonks a muggle born wizard a year higher than herself. This proved to be the hardest thing Andromeda had ever chosen. The relationship was rocky due to her sisters constant mudblood usage. Bella would go as far as curse Ted in the halls at every chance. She was by far the evil twin. After seven hard years at Hogwarts she graduated, with good marks and even better friends. She was liked for herself, and that is what meant everything to her. Not to mention she was able to escape Narcissa and Bellatrix for awhile.

Ted and herself didn’t wait long, they married as soon as they received their leave from Hogwarts. She was frightened every step of the way. Worried what her family might do to him, therefore she made it priority to keep herself and husband out of the Blacks reach. The only one ever welcomed in her home was Sirius, the other blood traitor as the two were so commonly tagged.

Six months after marriage, Andromeda had a surprise waiting for Ted. He would be a father. Again she kept this information from her family, best to keep the moral of her child in tact. Their baby girl arrived in early July of that year. Mea as many of her friends began to call her joined Albus Dumbledore in the fight against Voldemort and his death eaters, this including her baby sister Bellatrix.

After the other two graduated and married pureblooded wizards, Andromeda washed her hands of both. They were no longer her problem, her new goal in life was protecting her husband and daughter. Now the family which she has craved her entire life surrounds her and there is only one besides her daughter who is blood related.
